Tunbridge Wells High Street to Host Easter Egg Hunt
Traders in Tunbridge Wells High Street have joined forces to create an “Egg”-citing family Easter Egg Hunt activity which will take place between 1st – 19th April. Prizes include Easter themed gifts donated by retailers from the High Street and a small chocolate egg for each child who enters.

Find the hidden eggs and write the number next to the business on the map!
There are clues on the back of the map to help you spot the eggs in shop windows along the way, then deliver your completed entry to Payne & Son Jewellers by 2pm on Easter Saturday, the 19th April.
The winners will be notified by telephone to collect their prizes.

There is an optional donation of £1 per person for Tunbridge Wells Mental Health Resource Ltd (MHR). (This is the Mayor’s Charity).

All correct entries will be entered into a prize draw to win other prizes donated by High Street retailers.

Co-ordinator for the High Street, Jo Wicker of Payne & Son Jewellers says: “We want to celebrate the occasion of Easter with a fun activity for families. The response has been wonderful from retailers to get involved. Within minutes of sending out the email invitation to take part we had a flurry of responses and support for the initiative.
We have 16 retailers/businesses pledging prizes and offering to ‘host’ the Easter themed eggs in their windows. Some will be fairly easy to spot but others may take a little longer to find.
We challenge the residents of Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas to make a trip to the High Street during the three weeks running up to Easter to join in the fun and see what we have to offer.”

We have been making couture wedding dresses for many years and have helped many women marry in the dress of their dreams!

During your initial appointment, you will try on a selection of beautiful silk gowns to find the shape that makes the very most of your figure. Many feature hidden corsetry that can make you look a size smaller. Judy has always designed with classic understatement using the best quality fabrics available, beautiful silks from all over the world and exquisite French lace.

As each dress is made for the individual bride, different elements can be selected to create a gown that is unique to you. Judy will produce sketches so you can imagine how the dress might look and also suggest which silks will best suit the design.

The attention to detail from the moment a dress is commissioned results in a perfect gown every time. Once you have selected the design the fun really starts. Judy will take your measurements and your individual pattern will be made. The toile is then fitted. This is a mock up of your dress in cotton. Sometimes a second toile will be required to ensure the fit is perfect. Only when the bride is happy will Joanna start to make your dress.

Two more fittings will follow in silk with the final fitting proving there is no substitute for a dress that is made-to-measure. You will look forward to your day with confidence, knowing you will look your very best.

A bespoke gown can take up to six months to complete and requires at least three fittings, although Judy has never been known to turn away a bride without a frock.

Victoria Longhurst is a professional harpist, available for weddings, corporate functions and special occasions.

Harp music will enhance your day, whether it be for the arrival of your guests, the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast or a combination tailored specially to your requirements. A full repertoire list and demo CD is available on request, which encompasses classical and traditional, film music, musicals, popular songs and nostalgia.

After graduating from Trinity College of Music with a London University BMus (Hons) degree, Victoria embarked upon a busy and successful career as a freelance harpist.

Victoria has established an enviable reputation as a solo performer in many of the most prestigious hotels in London, including The Ritz, Claridges and The Lanesborough. She has also held afternoon tea residencies at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane and The Sheraton Park Tower, Knightsbridge and is regularly invited to perform at The Dorchester, for private parties and events.

She has also played at many famous landmarks from The National Portrait Gallery to The Tower of London as well as on cruise ships for Swan Hellenic and Cunard.

Now based in Tunbridge Wells, Victoria enjoys playing at venues in Kent and Sussex, such as
Penshurst Place, Hotel Du Vin,The Spa Hotel, High Rocks, Combe Bank, Blackstock Barn Hellingly, Marle Place and Gardens.

Boasting a wide and varied repertoire, from Baroque to Broadway, Victoria is much in demand, not least for her natural charm and attractive style.

During her playing career, Victoria has also taught at Putney High School and Westminster school.

Victoria can offer harp and piano lessons and can teach children to read music, help with preparation towards Grade 5 Theory examination, and provide piano accompaniment for music students in grade examinations.

Over 150 years ago, in 1852, the firm of T.J. Hickmott was founded in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The name was changed to E.R. Hickmott & Son when his son Edward Richard took over and the name has remained the same since. 
 
E.R. Hickmott & Son is now run by Robert Hickmott who qualified and joined the company in 1989 and is now the sixth generation, he hopes his sons will be the seventh.
