So with just 5 weeks of planning and coordination to go, 52 shops and businesses have committed to supporting the event so far.
This is also a fund raising event for the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Trust which is a registered charity established to relieve sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas by providing a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). Responding swiftly to 999 calls, the Air Ambulance can deliver a highly skilled team of Specialist Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics to the patient at the scene. This is not just for the retailers either – estate agents, opticians, chartered surveyors, pubs and cafes are all board with this amazing event. There will be a raffle held throughout the day and evening with proceeds going to this great charity – and some pretty amazing prizes too are being offered up by the shops and businesses themselves; there’ll be prizes for foodies, beauty lovers, children, the men in your life…… there really is something for everyone.
There will be special offers, discounts and promotions being run in many outlets so be sure to check out the Tunbridge Wells High Street Facebook page for full listings.
The Tunbridge Wells Town Crier will be out and about on the evening, as well as The Tunbridge Wells Choral Society who will be singing carols from 6.30pm. Many members of staff will be getting into the festive spirit with fancy dress and competitions. One competition which will be up to you to decide the winner of will be the best dressed window! Pick up a voting form and drop it into one of the boxes on the evening and see your favourite Christmas window featured in the local media.
