Over 150 years ago, in 1852, the firm of T.J. Hickmott was founded in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The name was changed to E.R. Hickmott & Son when his son Edward Richard took over and the name has remained the same since.
E.R. Hickmott & Son is now run by Robert Hickmott who qualified and joined the company in 1989 and is now the sixth generation, he hopes his sons will be the seventh.
E.R. Hickmott & Son are situated at 41 Grove Hill Road which they acquired in 1962 and were officially opened by the president of the NAFD, of which Hickmotts are members.
